What is GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)?

Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is the practice of optimizing your website so that AI-powered search engines — including ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Claude, and Gemini — can discover, understand, and cite your content. Unlike traditional SEO, which optimizes for ranked lists of blue links, GEO optimizes for being selected as a cited source in AI-generated answers.

The shift is fundamental. In 2026, more than 40% of search sessions on Google now end without a click, and a growing share of queries never reach Google at all — users go directly to ChatGPT or Perplexity. For content creators, SaaS founders, and publishers, this means a new discipline is required. Your site needs to be readable to AI crawlers (robots.txt, llms.txt), machine-parseable (JSON-LD schema), and authoritative (E-E-A-T signals, third-party citations).

Each audit produces a 0–100 score, a radar chart of the 11 dimensions, and a prioritized list of fixes. The tool also auto-generates three fix files you can deploy immediately: a production-ready llms.txt, an AI-crawler-friendly robots.txt, and a JSON-LD snippet for Organization, Article, FAQ, and HowTo schema.
